Private Investigators
Can you imagine now
knowing what to look fore in private investigators? We will
take you bye the hand and guide you along the path of
knowing.
You
might want to get a private
investigator when your schedule does not allow you the
time to search all the records. Hire someone else to do it
if you can afford to, or make time.
Experience
A lot
of private investigators have little or no investigative
background at all. There are people that
come from the military career and decide that being a
"private investigator" would be fun and thrilling. They
enroll in some Private Detective school and after two months,
they become a private investigator Does that mean that they are
a qualified investigator?
Not
really! It is critical that you know what the experience
and qualifications of the investigator that will be
doing a lot of the work on your case. The more
experienced the private investigators., the greater
the chances for your much
needed results.
I.D.
When you
sit down with each private investigator have them show you
their State license. They will be glad to show you I’m
licensed. Again, I’ve heard the cries of the wounded that
‘thought’ the P.I. was licensed when in reality it was a smoke
job. In a lot of states you need a license to be
a Private Investigator. Ask to see the license. No license, no
work! Period!
References!
There
word do not qualify them. Ask for former clients and
attorneys they have worked for. You will not know the quality
of there works until you get them.
Get a
Contract
Get the
terms of your agreement in writing. If a private
investigator won’t give you a written contract, walk out on
them and never look back. Why pay the private
investigators if you do not know exactly what you will be
getting out of it?
Private Investigators know
how to find the information that their Client is looking for,
which usually entailed digging into a lot of records.
Or an inside contact with the police department or the DMV
employee that could give them the registration
information on a cars plate.
Don’t
settle for the first one you talk with: I suggest you
talk to a lot of private investigators before
deciding who you want to go with. What is your ‘gut’ telling
you? Is this someone you can trust at this important time
of your life? Remember, the private investigator is as
important to your case as your attorney. Don’t settle for
second best.
